The Daily Haiku

A world of five - seven - five. At one time daily, now kind of sporadic.

Current theme: D is for Dionysus (Greek Mythology)

For ABC Wednesday

Revelry abounds
Ritualistic madness
Through hedonism

Is it really bad?
To unfetter inhibition
Now free of worry

The God of Wine calls
Drop your guard and run wild
Bacchanalian

Frenzied mind twists
Freedom devolves to madness
Chaos of the heart

Wouldn't we all like to be free of all inhibition and run mad now and then? No wonder the Greeks had a god for it!

You obviously hark back to a much less inhibited era. I must say I'm quite cosy with inhibition! And I don't like wine!
