The Daily Haiku: March 2006

No one listenening?
As our world whimpers with pain,
A growing fever...

Hotter and hotter,
Ever slowly yet surely,
This greenhouse effect.

I see the stars bleed
Smears of light across the sky
A nighttime canvas

Sway to the rhythm
Resounding hits of the drums
Percussive spirit

Mirror - Reflection,
Do the cracks in the mirror
Reflect my spirit?

Lightning cuts the sky,
Terrible cacaphony,
Thunder deafens all.

Behold an Epic:
Gods battle for the Heavens,
Clash of the Titans.

Dry rustling leaves,
Stirred up by a gentle breeze,
Blowing through the trees.

Vernal Equinox,
The beginning of Springtime,
Robins fly around.

Greener and greener,
Irish blood and Irish eyes,
Green beer and shamrocks!

A strange nostagia,
Cables hang from the ceiling,
Electrical work.

A red cardinal
Perched on the branch of a tree
Sings "Hello!" to me.

Rustling of trees,
Swaying to rhythmic winds,
Trance is the motion.

Tapestry of light,
Eyes turned towards the nighttime sky,
Innumerous stars.

Ominous day of omens?
Or a day of luck?

A bird chirps outside,
Sunlight streams through the window,
A light breeze blows through.

Bright, sunny morning,
Chilly, yet comfortable,
I like the coldness.

Warm weekend coming
Three day weekend - come Friday
Going to the shore.

Ghosts of my dark past
Wailing in my memories
Never forgotten

A light breeze passes
Branches of the pine swaying
Few clouds in the sky

A Haiku for Karl,
Nagging me for an update
Stinking Schweinbumser.

Bad weather coming,
The snow, sleet, and freezing rain:
Icy conditions.
