The Daily Haiku

A world of five - seven - five. At one time daily, now kind of sporadic.

December 22, 2005

Vacation beckons,
No thanks to Lockheed Martin,
Four days off next week.

December 21, 2005

The Winter Solstice,
The darkest day of the year.
Pagan holiday.

December 20, 2005

When my eyes are closed,
I can see through your disguise.
Just an illusion.

December 19, 2005

Sharks are below me,
Should have stayed underwater
In deeper waters.

December 16, 2005

Karl? Yeah, I know Karl.
He's a big, fat, girly man.
He sits down to pee.

December 15, 2005

Swim against the tide,
They're swimming right below me.
Swimming day and night.

December 14, 2005

14 degree mark.
An icy windshield calls out,
begging to be scraped.

December 13, 2005

Swift flowing river
With treacherous rip currents.
Fiddler's Green calls.

December 12, 2005

Bitter arctic air,
Shivering on this cold walk,
Onward and onward.

December 8, 2005

Ominous warning,
double barrel storm coming,
prepare for the snow.

December 7, 2005

Slowly fading White,
as the sun rises higher.
The Green emerges.

December 6, 2005

Covered in cold white,
A forest of ghosts greets me,
Swaying in the breeze.

December 5, 2005

Gimme gimme snow.
Snow, snow, gimme gimme snow.
Snow, snow, snow, snow, snow!

December 2, 2005

Dreams that redefine,
The visions within my mind.
Could this be a sign?

December 1, 2005

A resounding crash,
woken from my quiet sleep.
What made that damn noise?

Clock reads 3:15.
I grab my knife and slowly
begin to walk out.

My place is secure.
A glass lid fell from it's perch.
My heart stops racing.
