The Daily Haiku

A world of five - seven - five. At one time daily, now kind of sporadic.

November 30, 2005

November's last day
Why has it been Seventy?
Global warming's here.

Reduce emissions.
Join with the Kyoto Pact,
Fight for this planet.

November 22, 2005

Half a day today,
Then a week long vacation,
I can deal with it.

November 21, 2005

My inspiration,
Sometimes it slowly bleeds out,
The paintbrush is dry.

November 18, 2005

Scampers on the ground,
A squirrel quickly runs around,
Up the tree, then down.

November 17, 2005

The rain has moved on,
A chilly day now greets us,
November arrives.

November 16, 2005

Staring at the sky,
There's more to this than we know.
Staring at the sea.

November 15, 2005

Cop follows me close,
His sirens bright and blaring,
Passes me by, whew!

November 14, 2005

Cloud bank in the sky.
A painted streak arcs across,
creating movement.

November 11, 2005

Perched on a bare branch,
a cardinal stares at me,
inquisitively.

November 10, 2005

I looked at the clock
and it read 9:58.
Damn me! I missed LOST!

November 9, 2005

Lapping of the waves,
Makes sounds against the bulkhead.
Barge must have passed by.

November 8, 2005

Fifty minute wait -
Burlington-Bristol bridge raised.
Nothing routine there.

November 7, 2005

Soggy grey morning,
I live the routine again,
same drive, same traffic.

November 4, 2005

Dead leaves on the ground,
The trees slowly become bare,
Yet, still colorful.

November 3, 2005

I wish I could sit;
Shrouded in a pale white fog
at the river's edge.

Then, in my mind's eye
I imagine the lowlands
and bogs of Scotland.

November 2, 2005

Looking for a house,
Something with good character.
Maybe the haunted.

November 1, 2005

A low-lying fog
rests in the field near the bridge.
The river obscured.
